Right off the bat, I need to say that this title was not my own. I am quoting my 4 year old grandson Zachary. He did indeed say ”I know Jesus and He likes me!” That is such a powerful statement, I know it can help many of us. Yes, even us adults! Think basic!
Here, for your viewing pleasure (hopefully) is my opinion – on my life. (can’t be wrong if it’s my opinion, can it?) I don’t always know what to say or how to say it. So, lately, I have been praying (singing) “let them be your words”. (taken from a song sung by Aaron Shust, Give Me Words To Speak.)I read the Bible, but cannot quote scripture. I love to be able to Google the phrase and find where it’s located. Also like the fact that I can enlarge the print. :^)
I grew up in a family that had issues – anybody out there that didn’t? I do realize that as bad as my situation was, it could have been worse. Other people have, and still are, going through worse things. I pray often that the things of darkness be exposed by the light of Christ. For when there is light, there can be no darkness. Jesus is the Light of the world.

I love reading the bible. Here’s one of my favorite verses.
Genesis 1:27 (New International Version)
27 So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.
So, I know that we humans shouldn’t be separated or segregated because of sex or race. I was created in God’s image, as were you!

I go to church regularily. When I leave, I feel better. Whether I have aches and pains, or worry, sadness, stress, fear … Whatever I come in with, I lay it down at the feet of Jesus and it is replaced, by the power of God, with healing, peace, or joy, or whatever is needed. God is good.

We’ve all needed a friend that we could just sit and talk to. Someone who would listen and not give us too hard of a time. Someone who is always there. And cares. Jesus is that friend. He was there when I needed Him when I was two years old, and He’s still there, now that I’m older. (much older) You don’t need fancy words, or the right words, or scriptures to quote. He even knows the groaning of your heart. Just talk to Him, as a friend. If you listen, He may even answer you. Thanks friend.

I had to skip church one Sunday a few years ago because my back was out. It was so out - I was using a cane and still could barely move. I was laying on my stomach with my head lifted, kinda stretching my lower back. I was singing the song Let the Peace of God Reign (The lyrics are below if you want to see them.) I kept starting over because my mind would wander, and I really wanted to concentrate on the words, using them as a prayer. When I finally got to the part “let your healing power bring life and make me whole”, my back popped back into place. Wow, thanks God, what a miracle! I had to hunt down the cane later because I walked away without it. As a PS: it has never gone out that badly again, in many years, and it used to regularily.
